Houman Astaneha
Piano Teacher
Houman Astaneha is a dedicated piano and music theory instructor with over 15 years of teaching experience, committed to fostering a lifelong appreciation of music in students of all ages and goals. He earned his Doctor of Musical Arts in Music Composition from the University of Toronto, where he also taught music theory tutorials. In addition to his teaching career, Dr. Astaneha has worked extensively as a piano accompanist, collaborating with performers in various settings.
A member of the Ontario Registered Music Teachers’ Association (ORMTA) and a Certified RCM Teacher for Elementary, Intermediate, and Advanced Piano, as well as Advanced Theory (Harmony), Dr. Astaneha offers patient, structured, and personalized lessons—whether students are preparing for RCM exams or simply learning for personal enjoyment.
His students have achieved excellent results in examinations and have been recipients of scholarships recognizing their musical growth and
excellence.
