
Nasim Bakht
Nasim Bakht is a distinguished classical guitarist and certified music therapist with over two decades of experience in both performance and education. Her deep passion for music and its healing potential has shaped a unique career that blends artistic excellence with therapeutic insight.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music, specializing in World Instrument Performance, from the University of Art and Architecture in Tehran. She later pursued a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology, with a focus on Music Therapy and Child Psychology, reflecting her commitment to the emotional and developmental impact of music. In addition, she earned a certification in Special Needs Education from Kharazmi University and completed formal music therapy training under the mentorship of Dr. Zadeh Mohammadi at Shahid Beheshti University. Nasim was also accepted into the music program at Heidelberg University in Germany, further expanding her international perspective.
Nasim’s accomplishments span both the concert stage and collaborative artistic projects. She served as an assistant composer and researcher for the acclaimed Iranian Lullabies project, and performed with the Nowak Ensemble in Strasbourg, France in 2019. Her work as a guitarist has been featured in the television series Sargijeh (2012), directed by Behrang Tofighi, and the feature film Pir Pesar (2022), directed by Oktay Baraheni. She also contributed to the music album In Khaneh Bi To (This House Without You), composed by Mehdi Abbasi in 2018.
Since 2004, Nasim has delivered numerous solo recitals and ensemble performances, establishing herself as a respected figure in the classical music community. In 2017, she was honoured to serve as a jury member for the Classical Guitar Competition hosted by the Classical Guitar Society.
Combining her formal training in classical guitar with a strong foundation in psychology and special education, Nasim brings a thoughtful, student-centred approach to teaching. She has worked extensively with children, youth, and individuals with special needs, using music as a tool for expression, growth, and connection. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes empathy, creativity, and individual empowerment.
As a member of the Heidari Music Faculty, Nasim continues to inspire students of all backgrounds through her dynamic blend of technical mastery and emotional depth. Her commitment to integrating musical excellence with holistic well-being makes her a truly invaluable educator and artist.
