Maziar Heidari

CEO & Advanced Piano Teacher

RCM Examiner, Advanced certified teacher, Conductor, Composer and Pianist Maziar holds a Master’s degree in Conducting from the University of Toronto. He is an Ontario-registered music teacher and an RCM advanced specialist in Piano designation.

Maziar works as a pianist for Orchestra Toronto (OT), as music director and conductor for the ICOT Symphony Orchestra and as a freelance educator, pianist, composer and conductor in Canada.

Houman Astaneha

Piano Teacher

Houman is a composer, pianist, and educator currently pursuing his Doctorate in Music Composition at the University of Toronto under Professor Gary Kulesha.

He works as a teaching assistant at the university and is an RCM-registered teacher. Houman is also a member of The Ontario Registered Music Teachers’ Association and remains active as a performer.

Linzy Kim

Linzy Kim

Korean-Canadian flutist Linzy Kim began studying music at age seven. After exploring various instruments, she was captivated by the flute.

She studied with Donelda Gartshore and graduated from Queen’s University in 2011. She won the Kingston Symphony Scholarship, 1st Prize at Kiwanis, was a Top 4 Concerto/Aria Finalist in 2010, and received Queen’s Performing Arts Award.

Maryam Khodabakhsh

Maryam Khodabakhsh

Oud, Persian instruments

 

Maryam earned her BMus in Iranian music and M. Mus.. in oud from Tehran University and Tehran Art University in 2013. She refined her oud skills through masterclasses with Mohammad-Reza Ebrahimi.

Her performances have taken her to international venues in Australia, Germany, and beyond, with ensembles such as Mehrnavazan Hamsaz, Barbatian, Taal, and the Iranian International Orchestra. She teaches oud at Tehran Music School and the university of Applied Science and technology.

Mehdi, an RCM registered teacher with a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from Dalhousie University, studied with Lynn Stodola and Tietje Zonneveld. He has performed solo and ensemble repertoire on various stages.

He values opportunities to work with talented individuals and enjoys creative interactions. Teaching has been part of his journey since school, working with students of all ages and levels. His goal is to foster a deep understanding and love of music while helping students develop their unique musical expression.

Niki Akbarian

Niki has been playing Classical and Persian piano from a young age and holds an Advanced Piano Certificate from the Royal Conservatory of Music. She began her teaching journey by volunteering at the MusicBox Children’s Charity, which provides free music education to underprivileged children.

During this time, she obtained the RCM Piano Teacher Certificate, making her skilled at working with young students. Niki also completed undergraduate studies in Psychology and Physiology at the University of Toronto.

Saba Marzabadi, a passionate and versatile violinist, has a strong classical foundation and explores genres like Persian, ethnic, and jazz. A graduate of Earl Haig’s Claude Watson Arts Program and ARCT from the Royal Conservatory in 2020, she currently plays with Orchestra Toronto.

Her orchestral career spans Toronto’s music scene, with numerous performances and outreach concerts promoting accessibility. She won gold at the Unionville Music Competition as a violin soloist in 2017 and 2018.
